Kicking off Friday, Sept. 4 at noon and running through Sunday, September 6th at Eau Claire Festival Plaza, the 23rd annual BBQ on the Bow festival features mouth-watering barbecue, delicious Village beers and Barefoot wines in our beer garden (heated!), and world-class live blues on MainStage. This family-friendly event is free of charge!
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
It's all in the technique. Talented teams of cooks from Canada and the U.S. will vie for the title of "Alberta Champion". Who can cook the best chicken, pork ribs, pork butt and brisket over slow burning wood or charcoal? Our judges (KCBS sanctioned) will put their taste buds to the test. BBQ award-winners will be announced on Sunday at 5:00pm. The 2nd annual Kid's Q is open to youth chefs.
Learn some tips from some of the top BBQ chefs around! Topics include: turkey, bacon, chicken wings, chili and more!
FRIDAY'S LUNCH SPECIAL
Choose a scrumptious Pulled Pork or Brisket sandwich with either cole slaw or Mac and cheese on the side. Or try one of our savoury blackened chicken ceasar salads. Prices are $15 dollars. Sip a brew or a glass of wine to make your lunch complete! Join us in our heated beer garden tent!
